When we give our lives to Christ, we are born again as spiritual beings, and given a new IDENTITY. We are suddenly citizens of a heavenly kingdom, suddenly ambassadors of another realm, suddenly temples hosting Almighty God. As such, we can no longer view life through temporal eyes; instead, we embrace all of the eternal, spiritual aspects of this glorious kingdom. We believe the Word is living, active, and able to change circumstances and lives. We believe WORSHIP in song, prayer and intimate communion with God changes us and brings the goodness of His Kingdom to this earthly realm. We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His gifts are available and powerful in His church today. We choose to live our lives as spiritual beings who host and release the presence of God upon the earth and will one day spend eternity in heaven.
When we give our lives to Christ, we are adopted into the family of God as His sons and daughters. In that very moment, we find our SECURITY. He will never leave us or forsake us. We become part of His church - His family upon the earth. The call upon our lives is to embrace a deep connection to this family. Healthy families love one another, help one another, and grow together. We refuse to “play church” without going deep in relationship to CONNECT at a heart level. We refuse to pretend we have it all together when our insides are falling apart. We refuse to shoot our wounded. We refuse to live on a surface level; instead, we embrace deep conversations, true authenticity, and healing accountability. We determine to become healthy sons and daughters of God; while at the same time, raising up sons and daughters of God who love just like our Father.
As members of this spiritual family, we are called to live our lives on mission. Jesus made our mission, our purpose, our DESTINY clear when He commissioned His followers to “Go and make disciples of all nations…” Our purpose is to take what we have freely received and give it to those we meet. We are all on mission, living our individual lives in a missional way, each one of us following the Spirit of God in our own lives to take the gospel to SERVE those He calls us to pursue. We support and join one another on the mission to which He calls us... so the world will believe.
